Highlights:
This walk begins leaving from the hotel to the south, going through the Onelli street shopping center until reaching Route 40 South, crossing the different popular neighborhoods of the city until we reach the east shore of Lake Gutiérrez , bordering the lake we will walk inside in the autochthonous forest of Coihues, to know the Waterfall of the Goblins .
After this small walk (30 minutes) we continue our journey and we will arrive at the foot of La Palestra , a place where you learn the first techniques of rock climbing and the Grotto of the Virgen de las Nieves , sanctuary of the patron saint of lovers of Mountain activities, from here we will start the way to the base of Cerro Catedral , the largest ski center in South America, where we will walk the foot of the mountain to appreciate the infrastructure of the ski center (depending on the conditions of the day of the visit, you can use the means of elevation to access its summit)
From here we will take an internal path until we reach the Casa de Piedra river , which borders its coasts in a landscape of native forests until we reach the viewpoint of Lake Moreno and enter Colonia Suiza.
Colonia Suiza is the oldest neighborhood in our city created by Swiss immigrants who came from Chile in the late 1800s , nestled between Cerro López and Lake Moreno , on its main street, its historic houses still endure and on Wednesdays and Sundays The picturesque craft fair is held and you can also learn techniques for preparing and tasting Curanto, traditional Araucan food.
After lunch, we will continue to the Circuito Chico , where we will be dazzled by its famous dream landscapes, such as the Panoramic Point on Lake Moreno, the natural union of Lake Nahuel Hua pi and Lake Moreno in Bahía López, we will enter the forest municipal to appreciate the native species of the Andean Patagonian Forest and discover the Hidden Lake.
Through this path we will end up at the Llao Llao Hotel , San Eduardo Chapel and Puerto Pañuelo, all of them, icons of our city, which will undoubtedly be our favorite postcard of this tour.
To close the day and after having attended a festival of wonderful landscapes and places, we will make the last stop at Cerro Campanario, where we will have the possibility to take a chairlift and discover the most impressive view of the entire lake region, considered one of the best views in the world !!
