Itinerary
Day 1
Valparaiso; hills and viewpoints
Pick-up starts at 08:30 am from hotels in Viña del Mar, and then pick up passengers from Valparaíso.
We will visit Valparaíso and we will fall in love with this city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Valparaíso is shaped like a natural amphitheater facing the sea; Almost the entire city hangs on the hills. We will climb the Cerro Florida where we can appreciate the House-Museum of Neruda (Nobel Prize for Literature year 1971 (Does not include entrance ticket).
Then we continue along the Waist Road through hills, appreciating the scenic landscape, picturesque buildings, endless scales and narrow streets that go from hill to sea. We will visit the viewpoints / pedestrian walks Atkinson and Gervasoni full of history of foreign immigrants who arrived in Valparaíso when this important port was considered “The Jewel of the Pacific” (before the opening of the Panama Canal).
We will go down to the plan to visit the traditional Prat Pier and the Sotomayor Plaza Esplanade that reminds of the heroes of Iquique and the Pacific War. We will climb in one of its typical elevators to reach the Paseo 21 de Mayo and visit its magnificent viewpoint. We continue up the Cerro Playa Ancha, to go to the Mirador Marina Mercante and admire this fabulous amphitheater in front of the Pacific.
Return to the starting hotels.
