Cajas National Park is a national park located northwest of Cuenca, in the province of Azuay, Ecuador. Formed by a lacustrine system of glacial origin where you can make walks of different degrees of difficulty, where you can enjoy the magnificent scenery that this attraction offers; as well as endemic flora and faunal biodiversity that it houses.

Itinerary
Day 1
Excursion to the Cajas National Park
Starting at 8 am, our visit will begin in the area of Llaviuco 30 minutes from the city of Cuenca, for 1 hour. We continue our visit to the sector of 3 crosses that constitutes the continental divide of the waters between the oceans, at a height of 4,135 meters above sea level, and then descend to make a main trek for 3 hours approx. (moderate difficulty). On the way we will visit a beautiful primary forest and observe the interesting flora of the place. Once the trek is finished, we will have lunch at Las Ollas Restaurant, then we will be ready to return to Cuenca.
