Itinerary
Day 1
Cuenca City Tour
We start in the Plaza de San Sebastián, which constitutes the western colonial limit of the city of Cuenca, then we will visit the Museum of Modern Art where different works of contemporary art are exhibited. We will then walk through the historic center to visit the San Francisco market, the Plaza de las Flores, the House of Culture, the Abdón Calderón park, the Old Cathedral (we do not enter). We enter the New Cathedral, the largest in the country to observe its famous gold leaf pavilion.
We continue to a Toquilla Straw Hat factory to observe the entire manufacturing process of this handicraft, which is undoubtedly the most important in the country.
Then we will visit the Barranco with its colonial-style hanging houses that are next to the Tomebamba River, we will also observe the broken bridge. Finally we will visit the Turi viewpoint from where we will be able to observe the entire city of Cuenca. Return to the Hotel
