Day 1
Sarria
Arrival in Sarria, start of the last 100 km. of the French Way.
Day 2
Sarria - Portomarín (22 km)
The road from Sarria to Portomarín offers you small rural villages, chapels of Romanesque style, and a quiet and peaceful path.
After 22 km of route you will arrive at Portomarín, one of the most beautiful villages of this section of the Camino.
Day 3
Portomarín - Palas de Rei (25 km)
This stage will begin through a pine forest, and will take you through a multitude of villages.
Notable is the Church of Santa Maria de Castromaior, Romanesque style.
The end of the day will take you to the emblematic village of Palas de Rei, one of the most iconic stops on the Camino.
Day 4
Palas de Rei - Arzúa (29 km)
It is the longest stage, 29 km separate Palas de Rei de Arzúa; therefore, many pilgrims choose to stay in Melide, halfway.
Among the main points of interest are the medieval village of Ribadiso before arriving at Arzúa, one of the favorites of the pilgrims.
Once in Arzúa we suggest you taste its famous cheese.
Day 5
Arzúa - Pedrouzo (19 km)
On this occasion the Camino will take you through forests of eucalyptus, villages and streams.
We recommend you to visit the Chapel of Santa Irene, a mandatory stop for pilgrims.
Sometimes there may be problems with accommodation in Pedrouzo, but do not worry, we have many options in the area.
Day 6
Pedrouzo - Santiago (20 km)
And finally the last day of Camino arrived.
From the Monte do Gozo you can see from the heights the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela and its cathedral, your final destination.
Many pilgrims stop there minutes before embarking on the descent, recalling the best moments of an adventure that is about to conclude.
When you arrive in Santiago do not forget to ask for the Compostela in the Pilgrim's Office, to walk through the old area and to lie down in the Plaza del Obradoiro.
