Legend has it that its construction began at the beginning of the XV century. The huge interior of the cathedral, with a central nave and four central corridors, is luxuriously decorated but at the same time retains a sense of simplicity and restraint in decoration. Be sure to see the keys presented by the Jewish and Moorish communities when handing over the city.
The walls of the Seville cathedral are lined with chapels dedicated to the saints and other important figures in the history of the Spanish cathedral. It is also notable to mention the magnificent and invaluable collection of glass windows.
Another highlight on our visit is the entrance to the majestic Moorish minaret of La Giralda, which now functions as the cathedral bell tower. It is worth climbing to its top and the view from there.
