- It is a complete excursion that allows us to know and enjoy different landscapes and leads us to discover the life of the inhabitants of our extensive puna.- We leave the city of Salta towards the west, through the Lerma Valley towards the Quijano field town to begin to climb the mountain range through the toro ravine next to the tracks of the world-famous train to the clouds with stops at panoramic points such as the toro viaduct, chorrillos, ing. Maury, Finca el Gólgota, appreciating each of the bridges and viaducts that it crosses, as well as the tunnels, the stations, in addition to enjoying the wonderful landscape, where we will make stops to enjoy each of the different landscapes that we offer.
- After the toro ravine, we will enter the Tastil ravine, visiting the pre-Inca ruins of a unique civilization in northern Argentina with a town located at 3,200 meters above sea level. After this visit, we headed towards San Antonio de los Cobres, a small mining town in the puna of Salta, capital of the old government of the Andes, after lunch, and heading north we headed towards the large salt flats, passing along the RN 40, where we can appreciate the autochthonous fauna composed of vicuñas, llamas, zuris, foxes, condors, among others and we will discover how towns appear in the middle of nowhere where the locals live, we arrive at large salt flats, an impressive sea of salt formed ago Millions of years, there we will be in contact with the salt miners who will tell us about their life in that place, we will be able to observe a building made entirely of salt. The form of salt extraction and the pools where the salt is washed for industrialization is observed.
- After an incredible experience, such as the large salt flats, we take east direction by national route 52, climbing to the top of the purple highest point of this with 4170 meters above sea level, and then descending through one of the most spectacular roads in the world such as the slope of Lipan, of infinite beauty that is positioned as one of the most beautiful slopes in Argentina. From the top of the hill you can enjoy incredible views of the Humahuaca ravine (World Heritage Site), and reach Purmamarca, a unique place, a town stopped in time and whose stenography is the spectacular hill of the 7 iconic colors of Jujuy, and from there we will return to Salta.- an unforgettable tour !!
* In the months of January to March, due to the intense rains that affect Route 51, in case the road to San Antonio is cut off due to weather or other factors, the excursion is made roundtrip through Purmamarca.
* As it is a high altitude excursion, the passenger must take the proper precautions in health matters or consult their doctor in case of any altitude-related pathology.
* In case of staying in Purmamarca, it is recommended to carry only a handbag.
