Itinerary
Day 1
Gray Glacier Navigation
The tour begins with the departure from the Gray area of the Torres del Paine National Park towards the end of the Southern Ice Field, where the Gray Glacier is located.
Located within the National Park, the glacier has a wall of ice that is approximately 40 meters high and a combination of blue tones, which create an impressive natural view.
To get to the catamaran, a previous 3 km walk along Gray Beach from the nearest parking lot is required.
We will visit the glacier through the Gray lIl boat, which will take us to numerous floating icebergs and their various formations, ideal for contemplating or photographing.
After sailing for approximately 45 minutes, we will approach the glacier, which is divided by a central island, where we will disembark.
In this way, it is possible to enjoy in all its dimension the infinity of cracks and rises that constitute the snowdrift.
Sometimes large ice collapses occur, which prevents the navigation of the Gray III vessel, but gives the opportunity to navigate using zodiacs, another way to enjoy this adventure.
