Day 1
Santa Marta - Gunmaku
7:30 am Arrival time at the meeting point
8:00 am The backpacks are mounted, the trip begins 4 hours through the trunk of Magdalena Medio
10:20 am You arrive at the entrance from the town of Aracataca and turn off to the left by uncapped road 2 hours until you reach the Gunmaku town
12.00 pm They descend from the vehicle, greet the indigenous community and install the backpacks in the lodge, to make a 10-minute tour to the Tucurinca River and enjoy a delicious bath in the company of indigenous children for 1 hour. Return back to town
1:15 pmLunch is taken.
2:00 pm Start of a tour around the town, to learn about the infrastructure, customs, traditions, rituals and payments.
Dance, folklore and culture activities are carried out where they can take a selfie, ask questions and share with the children.
5:00 pm Campfire and meeting with leaders where they ask deeper questions about their traditions such as the meaning of things and their Gods.
7:30 pm Dinner and rest in hammocks or camping.
Day 2
Gunmaku- Aracataca - Santa Marta
6:00 am Start with a rich bath in the Tucurinca River
7:00 amBreakfast is taken and the backpacks are prepared for a magical journey full of literature and history, to the homeland ofGabo as his affectionate friends used to tell him.
Start the route 2 hours to Aracataca
10:20 am The tour is made through Gabo's house; where you can know all his history, example: the streets where he used to play in his childhood, childhood friends and walk through the town that saw him be born, grow and inspired him to make his narratives that immortalize him through time.
Points of interest, the train station.
12:00 pm The tour ends with lunch in the center of town
1:30 pm Return 2 hours in 4x4 to the city of Santa Marta.
