Tour to Zipaquirá and Villa de Leyva

After touring this charming place, we will visit The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá ; place declared as the First Wonder of Colombia and considered one of the most notable artistic achievements of Colombian architecture. Learn about the history of the mine and the salt extraction process carried out in it.
Start the tour in the morning, private transportation will pass you to your hotel or to the accommodation address and then just enjoy the scenery on the way to Villa de Leyva . On the road, taste delicious arepas, grilled corn cakes or fried.
Upon reaching Villa de Leyva , exit and walk through the old streets lined with colonial-style houses that have remained almost intact since its construction. The church was originally built in 1932 as a place for miners to offer daily prayers, and it opened in 1954. Today it is a fully functional church with weekly service on Sundays. Spend time in the unique cathedral before returning to the surface and returning to Bogotá .
