This is a magical excursion through the Mindo Cloud Forest, located just 1 hour and a half from Quito. It will change the streets and traffic of the city with the sounds of the forest and its peace. This is a perfect tour for people looking for a short break surrounded by beautiful birds, orchids, and waterfalls.

Itinerary

Day 1

MINDO & ADVENTURE

The tour will start after breakfast at 7:30 am (see pick up details), then we will drive through the western andes with a wonderful stop at the bird viewpoint to admire the forest and some beautiful birds in the area.
Then we will continue to the town of Mindo, where we will take the road to the Sanctuary of Waterfalls, this entire trip will last 2 hours. In the waterfalls, you will decide to what extent you want to explore in the place with our guide (the Santuario de Cascadas is a large complex of several waterfalls, which depending on your physical conditions, it is possible to visit up to 5 of them or just take a short walk , take a short cable car ride and visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls.
Then we will return to the city of Mindo (at this point you can choose as an optional EXTRA to do tubbing in the Mindo river, which has a cost of 12 usd per person and you must bring your swimsuit and a towel for this activity. It is a safe activity for children, seniors and adults). If not, we will stop in Mindo for lunch at one of the local restaurants.
After this you will learn more about butterflies, orchids and the famous hummingbirds at the city farm. Finally, it's time to visit the chocolate farm, where you will learn the entire production process before this delight reaches your mouth (Did you know that the Ecuadorian Jungle Cultures began preparing chocolate before the Mexican aborigines more than 5000 years ago? years?)
At the end of the afternoon, we will return to the city of Quito and we will drop you off at your hotel.
