Our first stop will be the Parque Seminario, to admire its beautiful gardens and its lagoon. With the Guayaquil Cathedral as a backdrop, we will also discover why this park is known as "Parque de las Iguanas", seeing up close the exotic iguanas of Guayaquil, which measure more than one meter.
Next, we will cross the popular Malecón 2000 along the Guayas River, where we will see a wide variety of museums, gardens, docks and viewpoints. Our next stop will be the Rotunda, to see the monument to the liberators of South America and hear about the famous "Guayaquil Interview" between the Venezuelan Simón Bolívar and the Argentine José de San Martín.
Afterwards, we will head to the oldest part of the city to explore the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas. Its colorful wooden houses represent true works of art.
Finally, we will ascend to the Las Peñas viewpoint (which was the original city of Guayaquil in the 16th century), and we will appreciate an impressive panoramic view of the city and the famous Guayas River.
