Itinerary
Day 1
Start of the tour
Uxmal is located in an area of hills called Puuc, which breaks the monotony of the Yucatecan plain. It is the most important city in the area, as it had 20,000 inhabitants at its peak (600 – 900 AD).
It is made up of 15 groups of buildings that cover about 2km, highlighting the Pyramid of the Magician, the Quadrangle of the Nuns and the Governor's Palace. We will continue to the cocoa museum, which is not a conventional museum, our focus is on the interactive side, where the visitor is the protagonist of the tour.
The concept of the museum is to rescue the history of cocoa; from Mexico to the world in the midst of botanical gardens with cocoa trees along the way. It has 6 permanent rooms, each of which represents an important aspect in the history of cocoa, a timeline from the fruit to chocolate today.
