We will start at the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings on the panoramic bus, the first point to visit:
YANAHUARA: Traditional neighborhood in its historic area, there are narrow streets characterized by their picturesque Spanish aspect. It has one of the most outstanding churches of mestizo regional art built in 1750. The square has a viewpoint with a view of the city and its three volcanoes, the Misti (5,825 masl) Chachani (6,075 masl) and the Pichu Pichu (5,554 masl) also nearby we will find craft centers.
CARMEN ALTO VIEWPOINT: Located within the traditional district of Cayma, in the town of Carmen Alto from where you can see the terraces or terraces, these make up the cultivation area and the course of the Chili River. The climate is delicious and healthy, and the air pure; ideal place for the convalescence of patients. Orchards and fruit trees abound.

MOLINO DE SABANDIA: The Sabandía Mill is located 8 km south of the city of Arequipa and 20 minutes by car, along the way you can see the wide terraces and the three volcanoes (the Misti, the Chachani and the Pichu Pichu ) that frame the landscape that surrounds this traditional little town. The Sabandía Mill, built in 1785, represents the typical architecture of the region in which the use of ashlar predominated. Its solid buttresses and rustic balconies are characteristic, which constitutes a historical monument that brings to mind ancient times and the ingenuity and work of the people of Arequipa. Likewise, you can appreciate the techniques used to process the wheat, a process that is carried out with the enormous stone wheels.
Day 2
ROUTE OF THE SILLAR + MONASTERY OF SANTA CATALINA
ROUTE OF THE SILLAR : 8:00 a.m. pick up from hotel (within the historic center) or meeting point to go to the AÑASHUAYCO QUARRIES, located in the Cerro Colorado district, where 500 stonemasons work, including men up to 80 years old and young people who They inherit the family tradition, people who day by day with their combo and chisel and supported by a rope, extract the ashlar.
Now the quarries from which this white material is extracted were also converted into a tourist circuit where the natural landscape and living culture are shown.
Arequipa is known as the White City, white because of the mansions, monuments and temples built on the basis of ashlar, which led UNESCO to declare this beautiful city as Cultural Heritage of Humanity in the year 2000.
In the Cortadores ravine, the front of the church of La Compañía de Jesús is shown.
The process for the elaboration of the ashlar is explained, the beginning of the cut of the ignimbrite or also known as white volcanic stone, with the explanation of each step with a master stonemason.
VISIT TO THE SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY: entrance at 2:00 p.m.
The museum shows scenes from the life of the cloistered Dominican nuns and exhibits a valuable collection of paintings, religious ornaments, liturgical vestments, furniture and folk art. The building preserves some fragments of ancient Inca walls.
Day 3
COLCA FULL DAY
Very early, from 3:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your lodging (as long as it is within the historic center of the city) to go to the Colca Valley.
After 3 hours approx. We will arrive at Chivay where we will have breakfast.
Then we go to the Cruz del Cóndor (travel time: 1 1/2 hours approx.). This place, considered sacred and mystical, is where we can appreciate one of the deepest canyons in the world and where the Sanctuary of the Condor is located, a place to observe the spectacular flight of the Condor.
We continue the tour making stops at all the viewpoints, discovering attractions such as pre-Inca and Inca terraces. From the Antahuilque viewpoint, in the town of Pinchollo, hanging tombs and litomaquettes can be seen. In the town of Maca, the most beautiful church from the colonial era stands out: Santa Ana. And in Yanque, near the river, you can enjoy the thermo-medicinal waters with temperatures that range between 30° to 34°.

Then we return to Arequipa. On the way we will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes (4,910 masl), from where you can see the Chila mountain range, the Ampato mountains (where the Inca girl Juanita was found) and Hualca Hualca, the Sabancaya volcano that is active. the chain of Chachani Misti and Pichu Pichu and others.
On the route we find thaws, the Bofedales de Tocra (diversity of wild birds can be seen), llamas and alpacas in their habitat and Pampa Cañahuas (National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) where we will see vicuñas in the wild protected by the laws of Peru. .
