Itinerary
Day 1
Excursion to Cuenca and the Enchanted City
Tour Start Time: 9:15 am
We start from the center of Madrid accompanied by our tour guide to the Enchanted City.
Our first brief stop will be at a Manchega Winery, where we will have time to go to the bathroom or have a coffee while watching the vineyards through the large windows. Near our destination, we will make another brief stop at the Ventano del Diablo, a mythical viewpoint to the Hoces del Río Júcar, where we can see the impressive Buzzard Leonado above our heads.
In the Enchanted City we will make a walking tour with our guide, who will illustrate us with all the information and anecdotes that surround this magical walk.
At the end of the visit our bus will pick us up to take us to the restaurant. We will leave customers who have not hired a menu in a central restaurant street where they can make their meal for free.
Once we have taken lunch we will take a panoramic tour of the Sickle of Huécar, which will take us under the cliffs towards the highest part of the city, the Barrio del Castillo. From there we will start a comfortable walking tour, always downhill, which will take us through the most emblematic corners and monuments of the Medieval town, through the door of the cathedral, under the Hanging Houses and through the San Pablo Bridge, to the hostel Cuenca, where they will pick us up again to go back to Madrid, where our guide will leave you at 9:15 pm in the Plaza de España.
