Itinerary
Day 1
Seville
Our guided walking tour begins with an official guide discovering the Barrio Santa Cruz, an old Jewish quarter, a labyrinth formed by narrow streets that leads to the famous Plaza de los Venerables. Next, it is the turn of the two most precious monuments of the city: the Real Alcázar and the Cathedral of Seville.
The Real Alcázar of Seville is a set of palaces surrounded by a wall, different styles have been used (Islamic-Mudejar and Gothic). In successive reforms, Renaissance and Baroque elements have been added. Place used as a place of accommodation for the Spanish Royal House, being the oldest active royal palace in Europe, as collected by Unesco.
Seville Cathedral is the Christian Gothic cathedral with the largest area in the world. UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site in 1987 and, on July 25, 2010, an Asset of Outstanding Universal Value. From the old Aljama Mosque in Seville, the minaret (the Giralda) and the Patio de los Naranjos are preserved. The temple houses the mortal remains of Christopher Columbus.
