It is the second busiest and most demanded route after the French Way.
The Portuguese Way is a journey that goes into Galicia towards Santiago de Compostela through Portuguese lands.
A route in which you will cross forests, villages, medieval bridges and historic cities such as Tui or Pontevedra.
In this case, we offer to carry out the Galician part of the Portuguese Way, that is, the last 100 km (Minimum required to obtain the Compostela).

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Tui
Arrival at Tui, from where the last 100 km of the Portuguese Way begin to Santiago de Compostela.
Day 2
Tui - O Porriño (16 km)
The stage begins in Tui, a city bordering Portugal.
We recommend visiting and enjoying its Cathedral and the bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel, before starting the march towards O Porriño.
Day 3
O Porriño - Arcade (22 km)
Stage of certain difficulty, with ups and downs. The views of the Atlantic coast are worth it.
Given that Redondela is a small town, and does not have a great offer of accommodation, so many pilgrims choose to continue to Arcade to 7 km.
This option allows you to walk less km the next day.
Day 4
Arcade - Pontevedra (11 km)
In this stage we highlight the town of Pontesampaio and its historic imprint, as well as the Roman bridge of the Verdugo River.
The stage comes to an end in the city of Pontevedra, famous for its historic center and its stone squares.
Day 5
Pontevedra - Caldas de Reis (21 km)
When leaving Pontevedra, we go back to immerse ourselves in rural Galicia, with its forests and streams.
We recommend stopping in Barro to see and discover the Barosa River Natural Park.
The stage concludes with the arrival to Caldas de Reis, a city known for its spas.
Day 6
Caldas de Reis - Padrón (19 km)
Quiet stage, which runs through the Galician countryside.
The stage concludes in Padrón, a city known for being the first point of land sighted by the ship that carried the remains of the Apostle Santiago.
Padrón is also known as the birthplace of great writers such as Camilo José Cela and Rosalía de Castro.
Day 7
Padrón - Santiago de Compostela (24.5 km)
It is the longest stage of the route.
The crossing will take you through rural areas, until the last 2 km, as we enter Santiago, the landscape will become more urban.
When you arrive in Santiago de Compostela do not forget to visit the Pilgrim's Office, to get the Compostela, in addition to visiting the Cathedral and the historic center of the city.
