3 Days 2 Nights Ecotourism in the Tampobata Reserve

Meet the wild side of Peru and visit the Amazon rainforest! You will be able to know the magic of our Amazon jungle that is inside the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE.
Visit Lake Sandoval, you will be able to appreciate great variety of birds and monkeys of different species. (shansho, cormorant, jacanas, puma heron, gallinazos, cotomono, monkey friar, black machín, pichicos and sloths).

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival to Puerto Maldonado
Reception at the airport or at the land terminal and transfer to the office for the corresponding records.
Transfer to the harbor captaincy where we will take the boat for an hour, to our hostel. Welcome meeting, with a refreshing fruit juice of our region. Installation in our respective rooms.
After a restful rest, you will have as an introduction a two hour hike in the dense tropical forest, guided by an expert local guide, who will take you along our trails and you will be able to appreciate a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, as well , you can observe some species of wild animals such as toucans, oropendolas, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc.
You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our Amazon rainforest that is inside the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE, (278,000 hectares protected).
After lunch, we will visit the "island of the monkeys", located in front of our lodge crossing the Madre de Dios River, where we will find different species, such as the family of Capuchin monkeys and monkeys living on the island. Return to the lodge.
At night we will go looking for white alligators that are usually found on the Madre de Dios river on sand banks, for which it will be necessary to bring a torch. Also, we can see the capibara the largest rodent in the world that can weigh 60 kilos. Return to the lodge, dinner and rest.
Day 2
Lake Sandoval
After breakfast we will walk for 3 km in the middle of the dense rainforest and we will head for Lake Sandoval (habitat of piranhas) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve, we will take a boat ride with an oar where we will appreciate a great variety of birds and monkeys of different species (shansho, cormorant, jacanas, puma heron, gallinazos, cotomono, monkey friar, black machín, pichicos and sloths).
Perhaps we will have a meeting with the giant otter family (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest registered alligators of more than 4 meters long, return to the Lodge to enjoy the typical lunch.
In the evening we will have a walk where we will be able to appreciate the diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other animals of nocturnal habits. -cena and rest
Day 3
Return to Puerto Maldonado
5.30 am in the morning we will do a short walk through the Canopy walk-way, over 30 meters in height, which will allow us to appreciate nature from the highest possible, also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. From the platforms we will observe different species of birds such as toucans, macaws, tangaras, oropendolas. It will be a wonderful experience.
Breakfast and return to the city, transfer to the airport and / or bus station.
